Mother Claims To Inject 8-Year-Old With Botox, Perform Monthly 'Virgin Waxes'

Today in beauty fact or fiction, The Sun sits down with eight-year-old Britney Campbell of San Francisco, whose mother Kerry claims she is already injecting the child with Botox so that she'll "become a star."

Britney explains to the tabloid, "My friends think it's cool I have all the treatments and they want to be like me. I check every night for wrinkles, when I see some I want more injections. They used to hurt, but now I don't cry that much."

Don't worry: Kerry, a licensed beautician, buys all of the substances online and tests them beforehand on herself to ensure they're safe. She insists that tween Botox is becoming a trend on the beauty pageant circuit and she doesn't want her daughter to be at a disadvantage.

But it doesn't stop there -- Kerry reveals that Britney "also has her virgin wax monthly, which gets rid of her fluffy leg hair and makes sure she wont develop pubic hair in the future." Now, that's an all-new, screwed up level, if we do say so ourselves.

While we certainly hope that this article is the work of an imaginative reporter (also responsible for such pieces as "I'm so desperate for a baby I grab strangers for sex on nights when I am most fertile," and, "I use my breast milk for cooking,") perhaps we shouldn't be so quick to make assumptions about what's going on behind closed doors -- or on TV sets, for that matter. On a fairly recent episode of "Toddlers & Tiaras," a mom forced her 5-year-old to get her eyebrows waxed while she trembled and wailed in the salon chair.

And as Kerry tells The Sun, "More mothers should do it for their daughters." They already do, and that's the issue.

This woman should be arressted for child abuse and pornography. She is obviously enjoying the pain of her child, putting the child at risk for infection and destroying her self esteem. CPS what are you waiting for? Where is the father? The woman is giving the child botox because the little girl is so much prettier than her mother and the mother is in a jealous rage. Disgusting. Disgusting. How can we do something about this right now?

The woman was on the show The View and after the show aired the pageant industry called for this woman's head for her to be barred FROM ALL pageants. Not certain how the whole mess came up that she is from the UK and then San Fran. Thsi story was just aired on Inside Edition a couple of minutes ago, but they didn't say where the woman is. Doesn't matter. This woman is SICK and her kid needs to be taken away immediately!

I'm guessing the author confused San Francisco with the UK because they mixed up Birmingham, where the story takes place, with Burlingame, a suburb on the San Francisco Peninsula.

And of course, I join in the chorus calling for this child to be taken away by Child Services (or whatever the British call it). And they should make sure they place the child with a family that doesn't believe in beauty pageants.

How many wrinkles can an 8 year old possibly have? This mother needs to be turned in to Children's Services for abuse. This is utterly ridiculous, I don't care if her mother wants her to be a star in the pageant industry. This is going way beyond what is needed for a pageant participant.

From San Francisco? The Sun is a UK tabloid (only a few notches up from quality papers like the "National Enquirer") and it says she's from Birmingham (that would be in the UK).

Regardless, social services (UK!) should be called in pronto. The whole ting is so sick it beggars belief. How, HOW can this women be allowed to get away with this abuse.

That's true, especially with the so-called "virgin waxes" that hope to ensure that the girl never grows pubic hair in the future. The recent trend of removing pubic hair is a sad commentary on how much the porn culture has gone mainstream. Women who appear in those movies get their pubic hair removed so now it's considered to be expected that all other women need to follow suit, too.
