Los Angeles, CA 90028

The very fact that it's called The Waffle should land this restaurant on today's list, but it's the actual ingredients and menu items that really make this place stand out. With so many options to choose from, like the Classic Malted Belgian Waffle, to the Cornmeal Jalapeno Waffle or Red Velvet Waffle (pictured above), this is the place to go if you're a waffle connoisseur looking to celebrate Waffle Day. Have a little sense of adventure, roll back your sleeves, and dig into a variety of flavors. We bet you didn't know the waffle could be so versatile.

Forget the city. Get up to Lake Arrowhead and eat at the Belgian Waffle Works overlooking the lake in the village.

The only one I went to is Roscoe's, it's average but edible.

Roscoe's is average as is Pann's. Which means it's as good as those waffles you make yourself at the wafffe bars at the complementary breakfast's at hotels.
There is no Original Pancake House in LA, the closest locations are in Orange County.

I went to the Omelette Parlour on Main Street in Venice on Friday and their waffles are delicious.

My boyfriend swore up and down Roscoe's was all that, but when he took me we both agreed it wasn't slammin. Maybe it was an off day for them. Actually the waffles were alright but the chicken was dry and I asked for two pieces of white and they gave me one dark and one white instead. I guess that taints my view of them.

Wood & Vine's chicken and waffles are inspired by Roscoe's and take the dish to a whole new level. Fantastic

A lot of them looked pretty good. I would love to try #2 from the Italian place.

Honestly the only waffle that doesn't seem ridiculous is Cecconi's. Belgium waffles smothered with gobs of grease and sugar is not the only way people around the world eat waffles. The big waffle pattern makes it easy to get the consistency right (not raw in the middle like a poorly done small pattern) but they are a dime a dozen and I find them eh.

I have had healthier small pattern waffles in the Bay Area that rock, but forget the spots. I yearn for the waffles I used to make when I lived on a farm that used to be a berry farm and picked fresh (but small) strawberries, blueberries, etc and made small pattern, white whole wheat mix waffles with berries cooked inside.

Now I know some will decry this as being overly healthy... but the flavor was really fabulous and I didn't need to drown it with whipped cream to make it taste nasty good.

Roscoe's is the best!
Those of you who don't like it aren't eating it right.
You do syrup and butter and cut the waffles into bite size pieces, then you cut up the chicken, put on the crystal hot sauce, and mix the bites together.
It sounds gross, I know, but the sweet and spicy combination is yum!

Dude, I cannot wait to go there. I will do just as you say!

Not all that impressed with Roscoe's either. So-So, at best.

Avoid Jack N Jill's like the plague. Shocking they made the list. Their food is sub-par and the people that work their are beyond rude. They do not deserve your business. Go to John O'Groats instead.
