Man Ends Up In Emergency Room After Gluing Tiny Hat To His Head (VIDEO)

First Posted: 03/28/11 02:42 PM ET Updated: 05/28/11 06:12 AM ET

From the lovely ladies at The Hairpin comes this amazing video of a guy who superglued a tiny, sequined top hat to his head on Halloween and ended up in the emergency room after being unable to remove it.

We know what you must be thinking: Slow. News. Day. But, truth be told, even if there was breaking news left and right, we'd still post this because it's utterly hysterical. Now, stop complaining and sit back and enjoy someone else's stupidity.

The nurse was right, I would have left the hat untouched and have fun for a couple of days, it looked much better.

Why did he use crazy glue to glue that hat to his head... now that is the question....
08:19 PM on 03/31/2011
He should have gone to a nail salon. Nail glue is the same cyanoacrylate as super glue, and they have tons of the proper solvent to remove it.

Compounding his stupidity was going to the ER and wasting their time. All you have to do is soak the skin in hot water for awhile and the glue peels off. Geesh.

Nan, I was just gonna write the same thing. Oh well, just goes to show that he wasn't thinking with his right head!

Love that video, no sound, so all I saw was a ton of different angles on the same hat.

Oh hat, you so crazy.

Imagine how boring it would be if nobody thought it would be a good idea to superglue a tiny hat to their head. I wouldn't want to live in that world.

This is simply amazing. It's like an SNL skit except that it is really happening. Stunning. Every act of alliteration makes it better and better. "Obviously super glue is quite strong"

Oh my god, I just keep hitting replay.

The video isn't showing up for me but that's okay. I'm pretty tired of reading about Republican presidential candidates anyway.

That was pretty funny. In the beginning the doctor was trying really had not to crack up...
Nail polish remover would have worked. Soak cotton balls in it and keep going around the edge of the hat. Might have irritated the skin a bit but going to the ER, seems like a bit much.

I did know a guy who mistook super glue for eye drops. That is a bigger problem - yikes!

IA, doesn't it even say on the superglue package that soaking in nail polish remover will get it off? Maybe British superglue packaging gives its customers more credit and assumes they won't glue tiny sequined hats to their heads.

Why remove it? Seemed like a good look for him.
