AOL Travel News:

God bless Richard Simmons. Not only is the fitness guru still rocking those short-shorts and, oh those sequins, but now he's taking his schtick to the skies.

Simmons stars in Air New Zealand's latest attempt at humor, their in-flight safety demo. In his go-to voice, Simmons asks passengers to "stretch it up" to put their carry-on bags overhead. The poor exercise mavens in the video act out everything from putting on oxygen masks to inflatable baby life preservers.

Excellent. Although, if I flew a lot with Air New Zealand, after the 50th time watching it, I'd be ready to strangle Richard Simmons.

Qantas' safety video just got one-upped by Air New Zealand.

I love the bit at the end where the flight attendants dance off the screen and they're wearing workout clothes from the waist down.

What the heck? I can't understand all the hating on Richard Simmons, a man whose only crime is flamboyant dress. He is done more good for people that most of the people commenting on this board will ever do. I love him and want him to wear the shorts and the afro forever!

It is long past time for Richard to retire the tank tops and shorty shorts. Do it for the children Richard! Do yourself a favor and put on a long-sleeve t-shirt and sweat pants

It's discouraging to see all these familiar people getting so old. And does anyone under 30 even KNOW who Simmors is/was???

Usually a train wreck attracts one's eyes. Simmons is just too hard to watch.

Richard Simmons is not aging well. He's
gotten too skinny, and it makes him look
older than he probably is. And that hair.....
it has GOT TO GO!! Uck, uck, uck. Almost
worse than Trump!

Jim's theorem of hair for men:
The more time and money you spend on it, the worse it looks. Easily provable by looking at Trump.

Disco is not dead in New Zealand. Bet the in-flight movie is "Can't Stop the Music".

Air New Zealand is the best airline I have been on.

I can't disagree with you, Sockme. It's the best by a LONG SHOT! I wish American carriers would take a few of their cues from Air New Zealand.
