GlobalPost:

PRISTINA, Kosovo -- It was the fall of 2000, just over a year after the end of the war in Kosovo, when two NATO military intelligence officers produced the first known report on local organized crime, painting the former political leader of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), Hashim Thaci, as having "established influence on local criminal organizations, which control [a] large part of Kosovo."

The report, the existence of which has not been previously reported, was widely distributed among all NATO countries, according to former NATO sources interviewed by GlobalPost. And year after year as the nascent democracy of Kosovo struggled to move forward and Thaci rose to political prominence, more detailed allegations and intelligence reports, totaling at least four more between 2000 and 2009, would name Thaci, these sources add. The reports were widely available to U.S. and NATO intelligence officials, and at least two were readily available on the internet. In one 36-page NATO intelligence report obtained by GlobalPost, Thaci merits a page to himself with a diagram linking him to other prominent former KLA members who are themselves linked to various criminal activities that include, extortion, murder and trafficking in drugs, stolen cars, cigarettes, weapons and women.

Yes, this is old news, but you would think that Hillary had got the memo before this meeting took place.

This photo of Hillary mugging with Thaci is not anything near as bad as that storied photo of Rumsfeld enthusiastically clenching Saddam's hand in the 1980's, but it will very likely come back to bite her on her b*tt someday just the same..

Whatever the case, this photo does tell "a thousand words" about U.S. foreign policy...

A bad life under Thaci is better than a bad death under Milošević.

What is your point? That it is all right to have Thaci in power knowing who he is? How wrong that is ...

My point is that corruption is better than genocide.

Thank you, Huffpost. It was high time the world found out what kind of monsters and mass-murderers the Clinton-Blair-Albright "humanitarian" intervention brought to Kosovo. This is the single most vicious gang of war criminals still walking free on the planet today, bar none. Nobody - not even Uganda's Lord's Army militia - comes even CLOSE in terms of sheer barbarity and bloodlust. That these criminals are allowed to even walk free - under the noses of our indifferent and nonchalant forces in "Camp Bondsteel" and under their full and open support -- is absolutely mind-boggling. This is the equivalent of American GI's in 1945 Germany not only NOT arresting Eichmann, but allowing him to CONTINUE operating the concentration camps.

The so-called Independent Kosovo is the crimefest galore like it does not exist on ANY other spot on the planet, not even North Mexico or Waziristan. It is a cesspool of narcotrafficking, robbery, extortion, contract murders, human trafficking, weapons smuggling, international prostitution and pedophilia and god knows what else. Every conceivable form of international criminal dislocation can be found there, in one convenient crime bazaar.

The world needs to clean this place up. Kosovo needs to be raided and full and complete rule of law be re-established to resemble something minimally resembling normalcy. We also need to find out which - if any - of the world leaders knew (and when) about Albanian butchering of the Serbian civilians for their organs, which the Albanians then sold on the open market.

Unfortunately, everyone in Washington believes terrorism is wrong unless it is against people they don't like:

"Top Democrat on the Terrorism subcommittee, Rep. Brad Sherman (D-CA), was among several Representatives who endorsed removing the group from the list. Sherman has previously said the MEK, which enjoys little support among Iranians because of attacks its carried out against civilians and its allegiance with Saddam Hussein, should not be considered a terrorist organization because “they are enemies of enemies of the United States.”"

Then there are numerous Cuban terrorist cavorting throughout the United States. And it seems increasingly likely that US puppet Mikheil Saakashvili is helping terrorists organize attacks in Russia.

Yep. Europe's very own EU-backed terrorist state. Now, where is the damn Al-Qeda embassy? Did they shut it down in Kosovo?

There is no Al-Qaeda embassy in Kosovo, but there IS an Osama Bin Ladin MOSQUE in Pristina.

I kid you not.

The mosque was built by Albanians who were so grateful to Americans for their "liberation" from the Serbs that they couldn't wait to show their gratutude -- to the guy who killed 3,000 Americans on their own soil.

I kid you not.

I guess Serbian propaganda is still alive and well. Why don't you tell us how Serbs burned US embassy and are supporting Colonel Gadhafi while he kills his own people.

Seems, if it existed, they renamed the mosque. Muslim fundamentalist did funnel money to Bosnia-Herzogivan Muslims extremists to help kick start that mess. Though, that was not the only reason for Bosnia. There were many. Ethnic crime syndicates that cooperated to kill their own people and others. Geopolitics. Russian oil plans. Continuation of periodic war for profit. Etc.

Kosovo was more about economics. The Serbs were taking the money from the others and modernizing Serbia while the others received peanuts. Religion was the uniter for The Albanians in Kosovo. On a side note, even Albanians in Albania do not like Kosovo Albanians.

Popped by Kosovo three years ago. Cesspool. The best place for prostitutes and drugs was The Phoenix Bar right next to The UN compound. The Phoenix Bar was were many UNMIK personnel loved to go. Good food - nice breakfast menu. Made friends with the waiter there - nice guy. Don't forget to tip. Declined the offers.

Lots of foreign intelligence personnel down there. Also, Chechens and some others. Was only there for a few days. Did not take long to get the lay of the land. Went there for the passport stamp on way to Bulgaria.
