Judge Judy has been taken to the hospital, her publicist confirmed to RumorFix.com.
The website (which was founded by Dr. Phil's son Jay McGraw) reported Wednesday morning that the iron-fisted queen of the courtroom had been taken to a Hollywood hospital after telling staff that "something was not right." The 68-year-old reportedly underwent oral surgery Tuesday.
Her publicist confirmed the report to RumorFix with the following statement:
"The judge was feeling nauseous and had some intestinal discomfort and decided to go to the hospital to get it checked out. They are keeping her overnight for tests."
TMZ reports that Judge Judy was "rushed to the hospital by ambulance."
UPDATE: Judge Judy tells TMZ's Harvey Levin from LA's Cedars-Sinai Hospital that she merely needed a rest.
"I'm just exhausted, and my body was telling me it needed a day to chill," she said. "I was feeling funky this morning ... funky enough that I knew someone should give a gander over what I got."
She insisted, though, that she is "really fine" and that she "wanted to go back to work [Wednesday] afternoon." She expects to be released from the hospital Thursday.
