La Decollette Cleavage Wrinkle-Prevention Bra: Would You Wear It? (PHOTO, POLL)

First Posted: 03/30/11 11:28 AM ET Updated: 05/30/11 06:12 AM ET

Introducing this week's disputable self-improvement product: La Decollette, a S&M harness backward bra meant to prevent pesky cleavage wrinkles. Yours for only $70.

From the product description:

At night, La Decollette will do her job very effectively.Because of this special bra, your breasts are more or less forced to stay in place so no vertical wrinkles will occur and your cleavage will stay smooth. After just 1 night you will see the difference and after 5 to 7 nights you will be amazed by the stunning result.

We downloaded the "Scientific Testreport" featuring some sort of close-up of a woman's chest and we were alternately stunned, perplexed, giddy and dejected!

What do you think?

Quick Poll

La Decollette:

A MUST-BUY!

You must be kidding.

Oh, here's a link to the original "Chest Savers" site: http://www.chestsavers.com/simplysmooth.html

Look around and you'll see that "La Decollete" must have bought them out because it's the same thing.

This is a great idea and works well. It was designed originally by a company (a couple of women) in the US called "Chest Savers" only they were lousy at marketing and totally undependable with mailing the purchases made. If you were lucky enough to get them on a month where they had products or if you nagged them enough, they might get around to sending you what you paid for.

The product is good. Women with larger breasts and who lie on their sides (I'm one of them) find their breasts flop to the side and make an ugly wrinkle or so that goes up to the neck. That ain't pretty. This happens more if you are over 30. If you have breast implants, it's less likely since implants tend to lock them in place and the flopping over doesn't happen!

Frankly, I think the bra manufacturers who make bras that push the breasts in to make a butt-like crack, will do well to start making bras with large (1-2 inches) separations between underwires, or make them adjustable, so the aging boomers won't have to have that crinkly-butt look on their chests during the day.

No one wants their ample boobs to look crepey and crinkly, let along wrinkly. That's taking the butt-crack look too, too high!

I chose "You must be kidding", but not because of the bra. Who decides content anymore?

I think this design should be combined with a traditional bra design.

I prefer a nice demi cup with lacy edges, but my girl friend hates it when I wear her things. ;-)

What the articlelet fails to mention is that this is for larger women, at night, when they are sleeping, to prevent chest wrinkles that result from cleavage. It is not a "bra" but only a way to hold a bolster in place.

If that rig isn't made of very stiff material, I don't see how it would keep things in place if you sleep on your side. And if it is stiff, OUCH. Some people will buy anything.
