Michele Bachmann: I Wouldn't Have Gone Into Libya

Michele Bachmann Libya

03/30/11 11:11 AM ET   AP

WASHINGTON — A tea party-backed conservative congresswoman says President Barack Obama has failed to demonstrate a vital U.S. national security interest for going into Libya.

Rep. Michele Bachmann also says "I would not have gone in" to the strife-torn North African country where strongman Moammar Gadhafi is fighting to cling to power against a resistance force.

The Minnesota Republican is considering whether to seek her party's 2012 presidential nomination. She tells NBC's "Today" show she doesn't support intervening regularly in humanitarian crises.

She says the "Obama doctrine" would provide a rationale for the United States "to enter into one country after another." Bachmann says she's against giving military assistance to the rebels fighting Gadhafi, saying she fears there are al Qaida elements among their numbers.

If President Obama hadn't bombed Libya then Michelle would be saying she would have went in. What a fruit flake.

How is it that none of these nutjobs are in the leadership role for the united states but yet they think they would not do something without ever looking at the evidence. They do not know what they would actually do in any given situations but to let them tell it they have a looking glass and can tell what they would do or not do.

It is odd that when they become elected they start backtracking why they cannot get things done, like create jobs. For two years they complain that the president wasted time with the hcr to create jobs(evidently he did and did it slowly the right way )but all they have delivered as in the past a lot of hot air about nothing. First they set off to please their base by pretending to repeal things they know will get overturn by the senate and president(waste of time=no job creations).

For two years they hollered NO at every turn and now at every turn they have not pass one bill that have made it out the front door yet. The truth of the matter is that now they have painted themselves in a corner that no one want to come out and say they are offical running for president only a lot of maybes.

So the race is on to see who can give the biggest whoppers of untruths until election when they get voted out and then the race will be on again

If Obama stayed out of Libya, she'd complain about that too.

Unless and until she offends some of you even more by moving for impeachment, she won't have the support of her base. The TPers painted themselves into a corner with their campaign rhetoric and reading of the Constitution-on the record-during their first days in office. If they turn a blind eye to the illegal war in Libya, they will get steamrolled in 2012.

These days we are living right now are a perfect example of what happens when people are broke, unemployed and afraid..Look what was voted into office.. NEVER vote when angry or afraid.
This country will now continue the freefall it is in because the GOP got into power.

"she fears there are al Qaida elements among their numbers"

Did she get that from Beck? Because it sure as hell didn't come from any credible, reputable or even sane source.
