The same could be said about Butler...

If this were about clean cut and hard working kids.... I think Butler would be a 3 point favorite.

I copied Janie Dough's post about Butler and changed it to Uconn.

I also disagree they would be a 3 point favorite, it would be even. What transgressions do these current Uconn players have?

I watched both final four games yeaterday and I kept thinking how these idealistic, selfless and hard working young men have given their whole existence to being actors in a play for making millions for institutions of higher education.  These monies guarantee that these institutions need no accountability to the American Republic that created them.
These young men are a perfect example of the exploitation taking place within our nation.  As soon as they are no longer qualified to play, they are cast to the wind of a vacuous, dismal future of anchorless, jobless humanity down on their luck till death do us part.
The young people of this ignobly operated nation have no present or future.  Their one peaceful recourse is to attain some esoteric competence in demand elsewhere and migrate to that organization.  When we can't solve our own problems, some of the quick and desperate can run away from them

You have a sad, sad outlook. Have you seen Kemba's smile - he's having fun! Team sports teach these young men a great deal that they can use to have fantastic, rewarding lives even if they never play another basketball game. Life is good!

Life is good for young men who come from families of wealth.  Opportunity is opened for them througn connections.  Yes, life is good for the few.  I am not a sad sack.  In fact I am full of joy and thankfulness for the good luck and opportunities and accomplishments.  I am full of disappointment and weltschmerz for the evils that have been visited on our land.  I am unhappy for having to live through the decline of the American Republic.
I write of these declining conditions and how we may recover through wise and courageous leadership. I write for ourselves and our posterity who have inherited the inverse of those goals-values stated in the Constitution Preamble.  I write for you.
