Eva Herzigova Wonderbra Billboard Named Most Iconic (PHOTO, POLL)

Wonderbra's "Hello Boys" billboard featuring supermodel Eva Herzigova has been named the "most iconic advert image of all time," My Daily UK writes. The Outdoor Media Centre polled tens of thousands of Britons and the majority dubbed the campaign the best of the best.

Sure, sure, this is just another British survey, but don't kid your American self -- Eva's ad certainly made the rounds in the U.S., helped the Czech beauty gain instant fame...and arguably made the roads more dangerous. In fact, MSNBC.com put up an article a few years back on why it might not be the best idea to post oversized images of scantily-clad models right where men operating vehicles can see them, citing the 1994 promotion. An excerpt:

A recent study found that the billboard ads do indeed distract drivers. One ad in particular was the Wonderbra ad featuring Eva Herzigova.

Research released this week said one in five male drivers said their eyes were diverted from the road by posters of scantily clad women -- such as model Eva Herzigova's famous adverts for Wonderbra which bore the tagline "Hello Boys."

However only one in 10 women were put off by the sight of a semi-dressed male model.

Well, that's because we're too busy gabbing on the phone and painting our nails behind the wheel to look up. Obviously.

What do you think? Is the "Hello Boys" ad the most iconic billboard ever? (We're defining "iconic" as anything from "unparalleled" to "likely to cause a three-to-five-car pile-up.") Or is this another British "study" that just doesn't translate?

Quick Poll

Is Eva Herzigova's Wonderbra ad the most iconic billboard ever?

YES! Definitely.

NO! I don't think so.

Unsure.

I'd have to say Jodie Foster's Coppertone ad when she was a toddler.

Are they even real? They don't look it. Plus, does the tag line mean her breast are boys? That seems weird.

No, I think it looks more like she's saying, "Hello Girls!"

I miss the "AIDS IS GOD'S JUDGMENT" billboards that popped up periodically in the 90s.

I think that the billboard of Goe Bush saying "miss me yet" is the best billboard ever!

The one by my place that had "the money you could be switching to Geico" kinda beats this.

I can't have been the only one distracted, thinking, "Why won't it stop looking at me?"

By the Queensboro Bridge, NYC, in the early 70s, there was an ad for Coppertone. The Skimpy Bikini Clad Girl in that poster, caused so many car accidents, they had to remove it... This ad barely cuts the mustard as Hot....

Most iconic billboard. The "Marlboro Man". Obviously.

I'm willing to call the billboard an archetype, but not "iconic". PS it wouldn't cause me to have an accident.

Anyone remember Evangeline's billboards in Los Angeles? Those just might be iconic since they didnt actually advertise anything except her.

Based strictly upon where she's looking, shouldn't the copy read, "Hello, Girls"?

It's great to see a woman as thrilled by her breasts as I am.

The metallic Ivana Trump voice would completely cancel out the obvious plusses on the resume.
