I don't get the fuss. This movie has already been made. It was called "Beneath the Planet of the Apes".

Had I known the crud that was going to be on tv the past couple of seasons I might have stuck by 24 a little closer. The last few seasons kind of were "eh" but overall still better than alot of what's out there. I'll see the movie but probably not until DVD or cable.

Both salubrious and lugubrious concurrently.

Everyone was enthused about seeing the 'X-Files movie' back-in-the-day and the producers delivered pretty good bang-for-the-buck with that film. Nobody bothered to see 'X-Files 2', though. The fans were happy to see the "Sex in the City" movie but were appalled by 'Sex in the City 2". I'm just saying give the '24 movie' your best shot because these things rarely turn into a lasting franchise.

Oh, and since '24' refers to the story's continuous 'countdown' runtime is the movie going to be called "1 1/2"?

It might be a wonderful movie, but I couldn't stand the TV series. Wait and see.

I like to see this in REAL LIFE.

We have too many corrupted elected officials out there ruined this Corporation

I cannot wait. 24 was one of the best tv series ever!! It's a lot easier to create a hit show on Showtime, HBO, etc... You can use foul language, nudity, and all those other things that suck people in. To be able to create such a great show on a network channel is a lot harder.

in every season except for the first which was a personal vendetta against Jack, the bad guys have all been right wingers, including the homage to Nixon....

AND some of these folks helped put out the best paranoid conspiracy theory show since the prisoner, called Nowhere Man.

they may be right wingers, but they know the right wing has the best villains

You might be right, as I stopped watching the show after it seemed to me like every week it was some brown person getting tortured for information, which of course they gave up just in the nick of time -- as if that really happens.

It's fiction, I know. But these days with millions camped out in the FOX NEWS bubble and refusing to leave, seems like fiction somehow becomes fact.

Who was the clown who quoted that show as being a template for how we should conduct intelligence interrogations? (Was that McCain in 08? I can't remember, but you get the point.)
