'Batman Live': England Road Show Pictures Unveiled (PHOTOS)

Batman is packing up his Batmobile and hitting the road.

As Broadway's Spider-Man musical hangs from a thin web, the Caped Crusader is getting his own live stage show, a traveling world tour called "Batman Live." Beginning this July in Manchester, the show was conceived by the creator of "Walking With Dinosaurs," and boasts one of Lady Gaga's costume designers.

"What it is really is rock and roll," choreographer Anthony Van Laast, said at the launch (via the Guardian). "Almost all of us come from a rock and roll background, we know we can fill an arena, we can do the whizz bangs and the special effects - all we needed was a really good yarn as the backbone of the show, and we've got that. It's not a musical."

Nick Court will play Batman, while Emma Clifford plays Catwoman. Robin will apear, as well, and villains include The Joker, The Riddler, Harley Quinn and The Penguin.

I just cannot stop laughing at these photos, especially the Batman and Robin photo. Batman looks seriously stupid, and how unfortunate to have one of Robin's hands posed so that he looks like he's gripping something right at the same level as Batman's 'package'.

The only one who comes out looking halfway decent here is the lovely lady playing Poison Ivy. But for all the rest, really, they look like they came straight from WalMart's Halloween costume reject section.
