'Dead Alien' Hoax In Russia Goes Viral (VIDEO)

Shot as two Russian-speaking men walk across a snowy countryside, fuzzy footage of what is claimed to be the shriveled-up corpse of a "dead alien" has become an Internet sensation.

The video's description says the "alien," which looks suspiciously like a "rubber doll," was found in the town of Irkutsk, not far from an alleged UFO sighting one month ago in Siberia. As the Telegraph reports, villagers in the area reported seeing bright orange lights in the sky last month, with one witness capturing the mystery lights on his or her mobile phone.

Benjamin Radford, a paranormal investigator and managing editor of Skeptical Inquirer magazine, tells ABC News the clip is most certainly a hoax, with the first "red flag" being the way the video includes an establishing shot of the landscape. "We see this in sitcoms, we see this in virtually every film in order to establish a place and scene for the viewer," he said. "It makes sense in the context of a fake film but it does not make sense in the context of someone suddenly finding this alien creature."

Is it a hoax? Maybe, maybe not. But filming the horizon has NOTHING to do with defeating the validity of the film because it is obvious they went to get a camera and filmed as much as they could think of for proof.

Anyway, I can't help wondering why it is so darn important to make fun of anyone who believes aliens are visiting us at the same time anything our government(s) do is ignored.

We will never get along as long as we let the jaded selfish rule our news.

It's really the same phenomenon, isn't it? Any evidence of anything that is uncomfortable for people to consider, anything that doesn't fit into their preconceived view of the world, is mocked, ridiculed, ignored - anything that will allow those with small and rigid minds to avoid being made to think.

I agree that the shots of the scenery at the beginning prove nothing. However, the fact that the article quotes the "Skeptical Inquirer," an obviously biased source, without getting a comment from anyone on the other side of the issue, says a great deal.

Personally, I think the alien itself looks, and probably is, fake, but that is just my opinion and the fact is that I really don't have a lot of experience looking at frozen alien carcasses.

Why does cool stuff like this always happen in Russia? I bet this is why they restrict the press, so people won't learn the truth of the massive alien population in Siberia.

Oh, and all this speculation is bullshit. Obviously the video is real, you can tell by the slippery skin of the creature. No earthly organism can keep its moistness like that after death, not even if first soked with vodka.
