Tmobile Iphone

Boy Genius Report has obtained a crystal-clear photo of a mysterious white iPhone prototype running on T-Mobile's network.

The device, reports BGR, is running a "test version" of iOS 4 and "includes internal Apple test apps like Radar and Apple's employee directory app."

Though this supposed tester unit resembles the forthcoming white iPhone 4, BGR speculates that it's only a mock-up.

"[W]e'd wager that Apple is just testing the new T-Mobile-friendly radio with its current iPhone 4 hardware, possibly in preparation for integration in a future device."

Since AT&T announced plans to acquire T-Mobile, some have wondered whether Apple's blockbuster handset would be making its way to T-Mobile. The carrier has not offered any hints so far.

Will this mysterious white iPhone find its way to T-Mobile's shelves?

9to5Mac believes this unit to the the 'iPhone 4S' tester unit that Apple has distributed to developers. The '4S' reportedly houses a dual-core A5 processor, which will boost performance and enhancing gaming.

Okay, first of all, you guys are idiots. I have an iPod Touch 4th generation, and it's jailbroken. I know that anyone that knows anything about how to work a phone could make it look like a T-Mobile iPhone. All you have to do is Jailbreak it and download the package named "FakeCarrier" from Cydia.

It makes sense that all carriers will be soon have the iPhone. When Verizon launched the iPhone earlier in the year the amount of phones running iOS went up slightly. If Apple wants to survive they will have to soon offer the iPhone to anybody regardless of carrier.

I have used T-Mobile for years and I hope the merger doesn't mess up my service. I lose almost every call I receive from an iphone. AT&T have terrible product. Now they're merging with T-mobile it's obvious AT&T will want to push the iphone to T-Mobile users.

I switched to the iPhone from T-Mobile two days before they announced the merger. FML

if the merger goes through, att already stated that they will be converting tmo's towers to their 4g so technically you wont need a tmo version the att version of gen 5 will work... if the fcc actually does it's job and refuses the merger then there might be a case for it.

Doesn't this seem like a publicity stunt from Apple? Big whoopdeedoo, T-Mobile will get iPhone soon. How else is Apple going to make FaceTime worth it. They need as many subscribers as possible to not make that feature worthless, since it only works on iPhones 4G.

At any rate, I'm still not buying an iPhone. It doesn't fit my lifestyle needs, I can think of plenty of other things to spend the $200 differential on. But go ahead you little sheep. :)

$200 is trivial. The main cost is the monthly data.

Well, I don't know. I've heard from several different sources that AT&T will absorb all things T-Mobile which includes my contract and the stipulations therein (e.g. Unlimited Data). I believe I heard it this on NPR. Grandfather clauses, my man.
