WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. State Department said on Monday it has ordered some non-essential U.S. embassy officials in Damascus and all embassy dependents to leave Syria because of the "uncertainty and volatility" in the country.

It's likely our State/Mis-Stake department is doing this because Wayne Madsen just blew the cover on a CIA black-op's program today that clearly showns the US is funding BOTH the Assad Govt and the Rebel Protesters, or the usual playing-both-sides-against-the-middle as has been standard operating procedure in Washingtoon for several Decades. The Syrian government by forcing the issue and destroying, for the moment the leadership, by not allowing a small group to travel the world in search of air craft to bomb, has defused the threat against the government of UN military action. That was and is a lie, but damn it sounded good!
Now, what Syria has done is put troops in place around the military bases and gone on the attack to protect the government that has been elected or ruled with the agreement of the military. Always keep in mind, the military decides the fate of the nation.

This does not sound good.

When the embassy staff start to leave, military action moves in.

I wonder why they haven't bombed Assad's compound yet.

Isn't that the proper way to begin a war/
10:46 PM on 04/25/2011
He doesn't have oil in his country. The combination that prompts "intervention" (aka as bombing for "humanity") is when a dictator does not have good relations with the west AND has oil. Saddam and now Qaddafi are examples of this. Assad doesn't fit this criteria. Neither does Kim Jong Il.

that's why Saddam and Qaddafi are monsters, while Assad is a mere "generic dictator" (NPR actually used this term).

Poor Syria. They haven't been anybody's top prize since the days of Sargon the Gareat.

How about telling our Ambassador who never should have been sent there in the first place to leave on the first plane? Guess that makes too much sense.
