Michael Scott: Last 'The Office' Episode Video Preview (VIDEO)

First Posted: 04/26/11 02:25 PM ET Updated: 06/26/11 06:12 AM ET

Michael Scott has two days left at Dunder Mifflin. And they're going to be emotional.

NBC has released a promo for Steve Carell's final episode as the star of "The Office," which is set to air on Thursday. It's a montage of past moments and tear-filled conversations from the upcoming episode as his so-often exasperated employees show their love for their long-serving boss.

It'll take a special 50-minute episode to say goodbye to both Scott and DeAngelo Vickers, Will Ferrell's temporary boss character. After that, the show has two more episodes this season to announce its new man or woman in charge; the final episode will guest star candidates Jim Carrey, Ricky Gervais, Will Arnett, James Spader, Ray Romano and Catherine Tate.

If Scott's last episode is anything like last week's penultimate, it's sure to be both funny and emotional.

I will miss Steve Carell, he was the guts of the show. As far as his farewell episode it was funny and touching, except for the scenes with Ferrell. I also like the bomb they threw in there about Phyllis having a baby she gave up in high school. I think it would be a blast if Erin turned out to be that baby and Michael was the father after having a one night stand with Phyllis in high school. Perhaps that is why Erin and Michael had that father-daughter relationship. Either way the show will definitely have a different feel to it with out Michael, one of the greatest characters on TV.

I will really miss him on the show I cried when he had to say goodbye I know it is a show but the actor was feeling some of the feelings his character was feeling he worked with these people for a number of years and to anyone who can relate to that fact can understand the emotion that was shown I thought it was tastefully done. Well done Steve Carell, I will miss Mr. Michael Scott however will see you in the movies:)

The people who care about whether or not someone else cares about The Office need to get a life.

maybe you need to get more involved with the things in your life so you can get emotionally attached.

America prefers "2 1/2 Men" or Snooki.

"And they're going to be emotional."

And this is why this show has "done the Scarn". American sit-com writers just can't stay away from the sickening sentimentality that turns funny shows into tedious soaps.

I have seen this show exactly twice.  Once was on a plane (way back when United aired NBC shows) and once was when the TBS was on and I did not have the controller.  It was the same exact episode, leading me to believe that there was only one episode of this show.

The episode previewed here would bring the count to two.

Can't wait, I know I'll cry like a baby. I get a lump in my throat just watching the clip of Jim saying goodbye to Michael. I'm 19, i'm a guy and I love this show.

And YOU need to stop telling other people what they're supposed to react to and how they're supposed to do it. Get over yourself.
