Gay, Straight, Vegetable or Mineral who cares, he was still an amazing actor. Any bad day when I'm desperate need of a pick-me-up I look for one of his movies, always guaranteed to bring a smile back to life.. and I'm always a little jealous of his female co-star :)

Dyan tricked him into the pregnancy somehow, he married her for propriety. There was a BIG stink at the time. The other wives were for propriety and companionship.

Anyone who expects an actor born in Edwardian England to come out as Gay or bi expects too much.

I love Cary Grant, I am glad he came out and told the world! He was a incredible man and should have been proud of being gay. It is too bad that people were so prejudice back then and couldn't except people for who they are. He was a great man and actor. The best there ever was

I loved him in the Mae West movie, I'm No Angel. The story is, she saw him at Paramount, and said, "If he can talk, I'll take him" and cast him as her male lead. What a beautiful specimen of a male.

He was bisexual, most likely, but of course his daughter either doesn't want to believe it, or doesn't really want to go there. A bit of denial, and I wonder why. His bisexuality does NOT diminish him in any way. He was known to not only share an apartment, but a bedroom with Randolph.

A man with as much charm and charisma as Grant... wouldn't surprise me if he was bi,or at least came accross that way. Most of the articles and interviews I've read imply that he pretty much flirted with anyone who breathed, or at the very least he was friendly in a way that could be interpreted as flirting.

Either way, I agree... does nothing to diminish his reputation or tarnish his talent.

Let's not pretend we don't care about such issues when thousands follow every hetero celebrity couple. You can't trail the aniston-Pitt-Jolie goings-on and then say grant's sexual preference or that of cruise and travolta do not matter.
Why do some of us have so strong a desire to preserve the privacy of suspected gays but do not advocate the same privacy for heteros.

Many an actor have seen their career destroyed overnight, because ' some body " claimed they were gay. What about working for the FBI or CIA and until recently serving in the military. Actually that's not true. Heteros actually celebrate and advance those who are as stupid and obnoxious as possible (Quayle, Bush, Palin, Trump, the KKK, Anita Bryant, Michele Malkin, Sharron Angle, The Situation) because apparently our species has obviously triumphed over the earth with 8,000,000,000 people and counting and we can still survive with heteros becoming dumber and dumber until finally we become too stupid to survive.
