Sarah Palin Mocks Katie Couric (VIDEO)

Sarah Palin took pleasure at Katie Couric's departure from the "CBS Evening News."

Couric, of course, conducted the infamous 2008 interviews with Palin which caused substantial damage to her reputation and placed Couric squarely on Palin's lifelong enemies list.

Couric officially announced on Wednesday that she is leaving the anchor desk. On that night's "On The Record," Greta Van Susteren asked Palin for her reaction to the news.

"I think I read that in a newspaper," she said, referencing one of the more memorable questions Couric asked her. "One of many newspapers I read...yeah, and I hear that she wants to now engage in more 'multi-dimensional story telling' versus I guess just the 'straight on, read into the, that teleprompter screen story telling. More power to her. I wish her well with her - 'multi-dimensional story telling.'"

Palin can mock Katie Couric all she wants. I will bet however that in five years Couric will still be in the Journalism realm and be relevant. Palin will probably be trying for a Reality Show where she's room mates with Flava Flav and Octomom.

What does one say about this? Couric gave her a golden opportunity to impress the world and she muffed it by being rigid, failing to prepare an flubbing unbelievably soft-ball questions. And . . . natch . . . she blame Couric. How much better a person she could have shown herself to be by acknowledging her mistake. But three years on she is as callow as ever and, worse, she got aging bitterness that she can't express except through peurile sarcasm. I guess that satisfies the Fox customers but it makes me want to turn away in disgust.
