In a heartfelt moment filled with tears of joy, Mary Vilett, a mother losing a battle with lung cancer, was granted her dying wish: To witness her youngest son, Blake, receive his high school diploma.

According to WJXT, Blake and his entire graduating class from Parsons Christian Academy dressed in cap and gown and performed a special hospital-room graduation ceremony for his mom.

"She deserved it more than me because she's the one that made it happen," Blake said.

The moment was captured on video by her daughter.

So sad, yet so beautiful. What a wonderful thing for that whole class of young adults to do for their friend and his family.
Peace and love to the Vilett family.

Much too strong of a story. The emotional depth to this story makes it unwatchable.

This was a wonderful thing to give his mother. I am an only child and I graduated from college one month after my mother passed away due to Hodgkins disease. The with I could arrange from my college was to get my cap and gown a little early so that I could be photographed in it and put the picture in the casket with her. I really wish she had been able to see me receive my degree, but at least she knew that I was going to graduate.
