Athletes React To Osama Bin Laden's Death On Twitter

Plenty of athletes took to twitter and reacted to President Obama's announcement on Sunday night that Osama bin Laden has been killed. Athletes who play or played in New York City like Michael Strahan, Darrelle Revis and Jay Feely posted tweets.

Fans attending the Phillies-Mets game at Citizens Bank Park erupted in chants of "U.S.A! U.S.A! U.S.A!" when they heard the news. People held up their cell phones showing headlines of the news.

The news of ubl's death is great, but let us not lose sight of the greater danger, that being the Muslim Brotherhood. They want to destroy us too, only from within...no shooting or bombs, the take over of governments like they are doing in Europe and will enact sharia law. Let us all beware.

Amasing how soon everyone forgets about what Obama has done to this country. He has crippled this country economically and he all of a sudden is the good guy. If you read your Bible it will tell you of what is happening and what will happen. A man will come out of nowhere and take power ( sound familiar yet) He will do things to get on people's good side so they will follow him ( coming into light now I bet) He will slowly try and take over the world and many will blindly follow him. ( do you see a picture of the white house now coming into view because you should) The one thing this person doesn't understand yet is that God will win in the end. Not only does Obama have brains and a heart, he has shown that he also has cojones. Whereas Bush only talked like a cowboy but when he missed his chance at killing Bin Laden, he changed his tune and said it was not a priority!

Being a historical revisionist does not change the facts. I saw several interviews on TV the past couple of days and the Bush haters on the left took several statements and pieced them together to come up with this "not a priority lie. That statement came after the interview asked him if wanted Osama taken alive. His response was, I don't care, dead or alive, thats not a priority. It was under Bush the courier was discoverd and eventually traced to Bin Ladens hideout where sunday's historical decision and act were carried out. I am getting sick and tired of Bush haters and Obama haters twisting the facts.

Bush targeted the enemy and unfortunately some civilians were killed. Bin Laden targeted civilians and ran away from the military. But, if you honestly tallied it all up Bin Laden wins in the death count.

I'm with Hester on this one.

For some of us ~25 years old, Osama has been the boogeyman our ENTIRE adult lives. He's almost felt like a fictional character. The kind that old wives tales would make up to scare children into being good little boys and girls.

Obama might as well have told us that the Grim Reaper was killed. It's so surreal.

You know what's funny? All the athletes who are thanking Obama are black! Like if Obama is the one that started looking for him. What is really funny is that I saw a news conference that Bush gave where he said he WAS NOT looking for Bin Laden and didn't know where he was at the time. Instead he decided to invade Afghanistan. Obama deserves all the credit for killing Bin Laden.

That was a pieced together confernce and your were not privy to all of the question. Go find the whole conference and you will find out that the interpretation they gave you wasn't true. And, by the way, up to the invasion of Afghanistan he kept asking them to turn over Bin Laden and his croonies who were there. So he invaded to get them.
Obama deserves credit for ordering the act not for finding him.

It would have been far more effective if President Obama had landed on an aircraft carrier in a flight suit with a big banner that read MISSION ACCOMPLISHED FOR REAL THIS TIME. Spare me about SELF-IMPORTANCE, pretending to be a war pilot and announcing the end of a war that went on for another 8 plus years is the epitome of self-important.
