I foind it disturbing that we give so much attention to Cinco de Mayo and so little to Yom Hashoah.

I remember my great-aunt who gave up her most valued love, her 10 year old child, my aunt, when she told her to run and hide while they were being marched to the trains that would take them to a concentration camp and certain death. The child is still telling and re-telling that story and I will too. Shalom.

I have often wondered why the killing of 6 million Jewish people as horrendous and despicable as it was, Always is remembered far more than the killing of 20 million Russians by Stalin.

For New Yorker: According to your insane beliefs, all your Jewish "brothers and sisters" are going to hell. Also, Ghandhi, Muslims, and anyone who doesn't accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. But if Hitler had "repented" and had been killed by a Russian bullet, he'd be in Heaven. I'm so glad I gave up on all religious nonsense over 50 years ago. Monopoly capitalism and religion are the 2 biggest threats to the continuation of the human species. Religion is nothing more than organized schizophenia. It's divisive, discourages independent thought, and is dangerous.

It seems to me from reading your post that you have never studied the Holy Scriptures with a view to finding out what "true" Christianity is. Jesus indicated there would be many who would profess to be Christians who would be more servants of the "Devil" than a quality Christian, John 8:44, Matther 7:21,22. Why is that important to know? One who is living up to the standards, values, ideals and principles of "true" Christianity is not going to do any harm to anyone in a dark alley even if they happen on a drunk non Christian person who is asleep with hundred dollar bills sticking out of his pockets, a false "Christian" may, a Jewish or a Muslim person may, but someone living up to the values of "true" Christianity would not. If it was you or someone you love sleeping there, which would you prefer the other person was? I saw a program on PBS that appeared to have been done by Jewish people, and I think I heard a question that went something like, Do you suppose that if we had thought more highly of Hitler's art work he would have been more kind to us? I have felt I was a recipient of the anit-Gentileism attitude from a Jewish person. Why did I mention this? Who knows how Hitler was treated by the Jewish population? I ask a college professor what the Jews did in Germany to get such hatred, and got an ear full.

oh dear.... you need to bone up on history... a lot!

Your ignorance of the politics of hate in 1920's Germany and how Hitler capitalized on that sentiment is astounding. His hatred of Jers was not because "some Jew was mean to him". or didn't appreciate his art The Jews were a convenient target like any minoirty in history.

And your professor didn't tell you the truth if he says the Jews brought the holicaust upon themselves. And by what you wrote and what your professor said, it seems that Anti-Jewish sentimaent isn't gone yet.

This man, " Hungers and Thirsts For Justice " Jesus tells us that he then is "Blessed", and also that " He Shall be Satisfied" by God's Justice one day. We who trust in God know this to be true, though as this good man says, there are no words to describe these crimes, they have moved beyond the ability of words to describe them. I moun for my Jewish Brothers and Sisters, and as a Christian I trust in the Unfathomable Mercy Of God to save all those who now seem lost to us, and to one day wipe away every tear from the victims because we have been promised as well, " Blessed are they who mourn, for they shall be comforted "
