TIME's Osama Bin Laden Dead Cover Features Red X (PHOTO)

TIME is giving Osama bin Laden the Red X treatment.

The magazine said Monday that it will publish a special issue, to hit newsstands Thursday, on the death of the al Qaeda leader. The cover will feature an illustration by Tim O'Brien of bin Laden's face with a red X across it, making bin Laden the fourth person in the magazine's history to receive that treatment.

Previous recipients of the red X include Adolf Hitler (May 7, 1945), Saddam Hussein (April 21, 2003), and Abu Musab al-Zarqawi (June 19, 2006):

The bin Laden special issue is also expected to feature contributions from Joe Klein, Fareed Zakaria, David von Drehle, and Peter Bergen.

Time Magazine also gave a Black 'X' over the sun of Japan on their cover in August 20, 1945 to commemorate the Surrender of Japan.

The other four were people who's demise was the result of some sort of military action. Stalin was a monster but no one "got him" like the others, I'm guessing that was the intended symbolism of the red x. (yes hitler killed himself but that was because russia was knocking at the door)

That was a great theory until you acknowledged that it was bs. The reason Stalin and Mao aren't on the list is because they are progressive heroes. Time magazine is a progressive organ. If Hitler were a proper communist he'd have progressives apologizing for him as well.
Most progressives secretly want to enact Maoist policies on the citizens of the US. Progressive restrictions on cultural thought are Stalinist by their nature.

Freedom loving people anywhere should resist the progressive agenda at all costs.

From Bin Laden's point of view he was an absolute success. He made 300 million US citizens live in fear for almost 10 years, the 9/11 attacks led to the near collapse of the US economy, and the 9/11 attacks led to about 5 trillion dollars in US government debt.

Why? Bin laden is dead...now time, all the networks cnn fox are celebrating and covering the celebrations being held for bin ladens death...the individuals that followed, loved, respected, adored bin laden are getting angrier angrier angrier as the celebrations are broadcast...and what do u think these people will do? Nothing? So folks the guy is dead knockoff the celebrations, and be more civilized than the taliban..and not demand photos and videos of the killing and the dead, dont anger them more..remeber what goes around comes around.....and it is time that we americans break the cycle not spur it on so the pundits have another 9/11 to win pulitzers with!
