Patrol officers in Joliet, Illinois were flagged down Monday night by a woman wandering near the city's Bicentennial Park.
Police have no idea who the woman is. And apparently, neither does she.
“Our detectives have been working with the staff at Silver Cross Hospital and this seems to be a legitimate case of amnesia,” Deputy Chief Mike Trafton said, according to the Herald-News in Joliet.
She remembers nothing before 8 p.m. on Monday, authorities say, when she found herself in the park with no notion of why she was there.
CBS Chicago reports that the woman has few identifying traits. Her fingerprints weren't in the national database. Her clothing was "unremarkable." All she had by way of personal effects was the pair of glasses she was wearing.
She does have small surgical scars on her stomach, according to investigators, and this angel tattoo on her shoulder:
Anyone with information on the woman's identity is asked to call Detective John Nosal at 815-724-3020
