From what I gather my ebook would be banned in France because it's free? Or would I have to pay France for every free ebook I give away? I'm so confused...lol. My book is an enhanced ebook with videos on each page that match the text. What category would my ebook be in? Would it be exempt because it contains videos? They really don't understand what is coming. It's a whole new kind of technological ebook heading our way. This is not a commercial post as the darn ebook is free. I have now given away over three thousand copies of my ebook in under three months. It seems to be very popular in Australia. Who'd have guessed? I make no money and the ebook has no advertising. Look at the future. From your iPad go to the iTunes ebook store and download "Box Head Man". It'll take a few minutes because of the videos. Once again, it's free and contains no advertising and I make no money from it. There is no political or ideological agenda to it either. It's a simply an enhanced ebook. Box Head Man

Pretty poorly written and obviously slanted article.

Look - France regulates every thing. Everything is taxed and controlled. It's what you do when over half of your nation works for the government. Gotta raise lots of money and you've got nothing but the works of others to control and tax.

Sounds like the French are onto something good. Pay for quality, pay even more for junk that drives quality out of circulation.

If I'm correctly reading the article - no law was passed and no price has yet been set. But you know Huff Post headlines are not fact based.

Amazing, in an artical on the price of an ebook in france. no where in the artical does it state what an ebook cost. What great writing...
