During a press briefing Tuesday that addressed the killing of Osama bin Laden, among other issues, White House Press Secretary Jay Carney made an humorous remark about President Obama as he was making a quip about the president's plans.
In response to a question about Obama's intent to make a public address during his visit to ground zero, Carney included, by way of explanation, his observation that the president was "not a robot."
"Are you ruling out that he'll make some comments, perhaps even informal ones?" a reporter asked.
"There's no plan for him to speak [...] His events with the families and first responders are in private," Carney answered. "As with the case the other day when he didn't speak at the cabinet meeting, he's not a robot and he could potentially speak at some point tomorrow, but there are no plans for that."
