I dont necessicerally agreee with why we attacked Iraq, Afghanistan or anywhere else but what i hate even more is how people complain when we complete a mission and some civillians get killed in the process. mission comes first. thats how we did it in WW II and we havent done it like that since and our results have been less than stellar to say the least.

why does anyone care if they were armed or not? Our SEALS decided the posed a threat to the misson or them selves and handled it accordingly. Who cares if Usama was armed or not. It probably was a kill mission, and it is lawfull to target an enemy commander in the field.

The reason Usama went down w/out a fight is because his weapon of choice was parked at the airport!!! Get a grip on reality, people. This man wanted to kill you, slit your wife's throat and gut your kids because he doesn't like you!!! Good to know this terrorist is at the bottom of the ocean!!

Three bodies and none of them bin Laden. LOL! This one's not worth the ticket price. I think I'll wait for the CD to come out starring Chuck Norris.... then burn it.

Both men shown were probably not dead when they hit the floor. Both were assassinated noting the gunshot wound in their chins. I am sure Bin Laden met a similar fate. Shoot to the trunk and disable and a head shot to kill. They even admited to the sequence in the after action report. I would imagine the SEALS were given orders as not to take any combatant prisoners. I could care less.......it saved us allot of money and grief.

No weapons. Just another smash and grab by the clandestine arm (aka assassination team) of the MIC.

Really? From what I understand, one of our highly classified new Blackhawk choppers went down in the raid. Not so classified anymore. And it wasn't because they were being fired on. It was just sloppy execution. They had to destroy the craft before they left. You can put your pom poms away now.

You know what this reminds me of? When the US was bombing Baghad and the pliots were heard to say it is like a video game. All the slaughter live as it happens for the amusement of America. The US did rebuild Iraq and apologize for destroying a nation that had nothing to to with 9/11. Right! Just a little collateral damage. Thanks! George Bush, Paul Wolfowitz, Cheney, Condenessa Rice, Donald Rumsfeld,Collen Powell, and Paul Wolfowitz to name a few. It couldn't have been done without your lies. The Iraqi people have a lot of nerve. Hating the US for killing almost one million civilians, making forty percent of the children orphans and destroying all but ten percent of the homes. I am sure the US would not react that way if some did this to our men and children unjustly. We are better than that.

maybe the iraqi people should have been hating Saddam for killing a million of it's citizens and thanking us for their freedom?

Freedom? Heh. What a strange way to put the loss of 1.4 million Iraqi civilians at the hands of America. You must be using the Bush definition of freedom.

The really Good news is that Obama took the risk of looking like Jimmy Carter if the raid had been anything less than a success. I say Good News because the Bushie, Cheney cop out decision would have a smart bomb that left everybody wondering if they hit the target, and took out the neighborhood on impact. This was just a gutsy move by The President when you consider they did not know for certain that bin Laden was present. Think of all the innocent people who didn't die. The decision was Smart, Appropriate, and it Took Real Guts to make the right call. Nice having a Smart President for a change isn't it ?

isn't it interesting that B/C f'ups are justified, yet any simple mistake now is magnified way out of proportion to the event.

This operation was a success. We will never know how many other operations failed prior to this one. Would there be pictures of everyone in the Situation Room had this been a bust? This was a gutsy move by the Seal Team and the helicopter crews, along with the CIA operatives. Had it failed, we would have never known, so there was little risk to Obama.

((here was little risk to Obama.))

Don't get it twisted. There was more risk than you could possibly imagine just for Obama to run for President.
I can't picture him shrinking from risk at this stage of the game. It's not within his character.
