Eric Bolling, Fox Host, Reads List Of People Viewers Want Waterboarded (VIDEO)

First Posted: 05/05/11 03:00 PM ET Updated: 07/05/11 06:12 AM ET

Fox Business host Eric Bolling cheerily read off a list of people his viewers wanted waterboarded--including several media figures and President Obama--on his Wednesday show.

Bolling asserted definitively that the intelligence that led to the killing of Osama Bin Laden "was gotten through waterboarding, simple as that." (This viewpoint has been repeatedly refuted.) Then he said he had asked his viewers to send in recommendations for people they'd like to see waterboarded. The responses included Joy Behar, President Obama, Senate Democrats, "my ex-wife" (Bolling joked that the viewer was "sentimental"), Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow.

One of Bolling's guests told him that he was "recommending torture," but Bolling did not seem too troubled by the accusation. On the same show, he called waterboarding "a typical weekend at my house with my 12-year-old son."

When Charles Grodin was a guest on an April 2009 segment of Sean Hannity's jingo fest, he asked if Hannity would submit to a waterboarding demo for his flock. Hannity replied that, yes, he'd do it for charity. Olbermann subsequently offered $1000 for every second Hannity would remain silent during the demo. Typical of Fox millionaire celebrity chicken hawks, Hannity has yet to do it.

I didn't realize "Water Boarding the President" had anything to do with business? I guess fox is unable to do any legit reporting on anything. Not that I counted on them for anything less.

Wait until the Dem's take back the house and re-elect the President in 2012. Glen Becks head is going to blow off and Rush will be back on the scripts.

Many who defend waterboarding or enhanced interrogation techniques say it is NOT considered torture. I am curious to know, if this host is advocating waterboarding members of the government, is he hoping to acquire some type of information (ie, interrogating them)?

Or, is he merely looking to punish, to be a sadist, to torture?

How about calling for waterboarding for the patriots who believe that it serves a useful purpose. Last time I checked, the POTUS never advocated using such "humane" treatment.

If waterboarding isn't torture-- and if it's like a "typical weekend at my house with my twelve year old," then isn't that tantamount to claiming that waterboarding would produce less information than a well planned interrogation? These people want it both ways-- to giggle at the thought of democrats being waterboarded, to claim it reeps intelligence rewards on the one hand-- then on the other, the constantly claim how it isn't torture, how they, themselves could easily pass the experience unscathed. Which is it-- it is useful or is it useless? I suspect they know nothing about it, but that it demostrates control for control's sake. Adn this they like.

This is Fox News. Can anyone here actually say that they expected anything better form one of the jerks that are given their own shows on that network?

Thought so.
