LOS ANGELES (KTLA) -- Animal rights activists are calling for the public to boycott the Pink Taco restaurant in Century City after it featured a live donkey, painted pink, in a Cinco de Mayo promotion.

Internet users quickly posted an image of the donkey and created a facebook page titled, "Boycott Pink Taco Century City."

Critics say the dyed donkey was tied to a post and forced to stand outside in 90-degree heat.

Facebook user Maureen Mccarthy wrote, "This is an outrage!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
