Libya supplies most of the oil for Europe, Obama decides to bomb libya and kills babies, the priceof gas skyrockets based on speculation from who? the megabank energy speculators that Obama bailed out. So now we are still killing people in Libya so European oil needs aren;t being met, refineries inthe US are making gas at the speed as before and we have Obamaland - wherethe rich get richer at the expense fo the poor and middle class. the cost of production have not changed - this is another Obama created catastrophe - buy oil company stocks becasuse you're not going to get bailed out

Having just returned from Europe where I did some travel by car, the Europeans are paying way more than we do here in the US. It's time for the US to grow up and stop whining and face reality that we can't have everything they want, when we want it, and expect to pay next to nothing for it. It's time for more fuel efficient cars, extensive public transportation, and alternative energy sources.

A biofuel breakthrough projects diesel at $20/barrel and with a few more steps the same process can produce cheap gasoline.

Want to see the price of gas drop? Here's an idea: Curtail all but absolutely necessary use of your autos for a week or two. Car-pool if you can. Use mass transit - do whatever it takes to avoid buying gasoline. The only way to force them to stop ra.ping Americans at the gas pump is to hit them in the wallet by refusing to buy their overpriced gas whenever possible. As long as Americans continue to meekly bend over, they will continue to abuse us all.
