Aubrey Plaza On 'The Tonight Show': Steven Tyler Hits On 'Parks & Rec' Star In Awkward Interview (VIDEO)

April Ludgate is the most miserable person in a town of obese misery; as the assistant to the head of the Parks Dept. of Pawnee, Indiana, there's no question she won't answer with a droll comment and roll of the eyes.

Turns out Aubrey Plaza's character on "Parks and Recreation" isn't such a stretch.

Plaza appeared on "The Tonight Show" on Friday night, to hilariously awkward results. She gives nearly monosyllabic, uncomfortable answers to Jay Leno's questions, can't introduce her own clip, and more or less admits that she just does what men tell her to do. Which was music to Steven Tyler's ears.

Tyler, who sat next to Plaza during the interview, focused his energy on awkwardly flirting with the young star while she gave her non-responses. When she spoke of being stripped of her clothes and cleaned with baby wipes, the Aerosmith frontman and "American Idol" judge exclaimed "Nice!"; when Plaza discussed a dilemma with her landlord, Tyler let her know that the guy totally had the hots for her.

But perhaps you can't blame Tyler; Plaza did say that she had seen Tyler in her dreams.

All told, it was all in good, hilarious fun. We think.

lol, ok what clip did you folks at HuffPo actually watch to write the article and have you never seen Aubrey Plaza ever do anything before in any venue?

That's her bit and I actually think it's really funny... her character on Parks & Rec is really just her... her character in Funny People is really just her...

If anything, she was probably sitting next to Steven Tyler... hell, I don't even swing that way and I'd get all aflutter of Steven Tyler flirted with me.

Now, go back and actually watch the clip and apologize to Aubrey Plaza, she's sweet.

I can't stand Aubrey Plaza's schtick, I just find the whole thing absolutely annoying. The whole mtv gen. feeling neither highs or lows with the hint of emo and a side of sarcasm. Not a fan.
