With her much-anticipated all-leading lady comedy "Bridesmaids" coming out this week, it's no surprise to see "Saturday Night Live" veteran Kristen Wiig making her rounds on the late night circuit.
Wiig stopped by "The Late Show" Monday night, and gave David Letterman a special look into her rejected "SNL" characters. While Dave's other guest Albert Brooks tried pulling off a "viral" publicity stunt, Wiig entertained by revealing two seemingly hilarious personas that didn't quite meet Lorne Michael's standards.
Watch Wiig demonstrate both characters (an Italian ladies' man and a Hawaiian P.I., by the way) in the clip below, and tell us what you think in the comments. Do these characters strike you as funnier than the recently retired Gilly and Penelope?
