Reggie Bush Enjoying Lockout: 'I'm Making The Most Of It'

Reggie Bush Enjoying Lockout Twitter

The New Orleans Saints drafting another running back? Reggie Bush isn't so happy about that.

Some extra time off due to the NFL lockout? He can't complain.

The Saints running back, who expressed his frustration after the Saints selected Alabama's Mark Ingram in the first round of the NFL Draft, tweeted on Monday that he is enjoying the time off.

"Everybody complaining about the lockout! Shoot I'm making the most of it! Vacation, rest, relaxing, appearances here and there! I'm good!" he said. "Right about now we would be slaving in 100 degree heat, practicing twice a day, while putting our bodies at risk for nothing."

About an hour later, the former Heisman Trophy winner said that his last tweet was a joke and told his followers to relax.

Seems you can't say Anything as a celebrity without SOMEBODY taking offense... No matter how non controversial... That's corny.

Cheering for the NFL is no different than cheering for Goldman Sachs.
It is greed - not sportsmanship, not community, not service -
it is all about greed.

You want real football, attend a high school game -
you want ego, greed, and self-entitlement - cheer for the NFL

He won't be enjoying it so much once he realizes he is not being paid...

"Mark my words, Reggie Bush will be better than LaDainan Tomlinson."

I told this to my friends before Bush got drafted... when can I expect them to let it rest? 20 years from now? 40 years?

Skip Bayless and all the other armchair quarterbacks couldn't get through one day of an NFL practice. Who are they to talk about how a player is supposed to feel about the lockout?

More people need a sense of humor like Reggie. Sheesh, why is everyone so quick to jump all over everyone.

This only became a "joke" after he realized his mistake. It was never intended to be a joke.

You are in the pathetic hall of fame if you are actually offended by this tweet.

There's a 100% chance that he's staying in shape.

The work ethic that these guys have is something that most cant comprehend. The same guy that you think is lazy was probably up at 5:00a.m. and finished a grueling work out by 7:00

I dont think it was a joke, I just dont think it should have or was meant to offend anyone.

Lol....I love how people tweet that 'it's just a joke' or 'I was just kidding' after people get offended by a tweet. He wasn't joking, he meant what he said. Saints should keep him though if he is willing to reconstruct his contract (He's making way too much for what he contributes.) He creates some nice mismatch advantages for Sean Peyton's offense.

the over/under for him making another ill-advised "tweet" within the next week?

Drew Brees is paying for the team to work out during the lockout. He's paying for trainers, insurance, facilities, all of it. If Reggie's not taking advantage of that and Mark Ingram is, forget tweeting. I think the writing is on the wall...

You got that right! I'm hoping Reggie warms the bench all season! Ingram's hungry and Bush doesn't give a flip.
