Republicans, "You democrats, stop trying to save Medicare. How dare you protect the seniors. Didn't we label you as death panel creators in 2010? Stop ruining our false branding of you!"

"Is someone form the GOP speaking? We need more than just lip service."

But that is what the GOP party is all about, lip service. They could take my Daffy Duck icon and let him make all the speeches. It would carry the same weight and credibility as Ryan and Boehner, oh and Mitch O'Connell as wel.

Pretty much a GOP convenient plan for lowering the budget, kill off the seniors. And how do you get rid of the democrats and cut costs at the same time? Create a recession, create a huge deficit, then cut programs that help the unemployed, poor, womens medical services, the teachers, the union workers/factory workers, and the elderly.

Wait until the 2012 primaries. Obama and the dems will be using that billion dollars to do some serious advertising and PR campaigns letting seniors know what the republicans are doing to them. Also there are so many other groups of people the republicans have harmed. I think we will need a trillion dollars just to keep up with all the republican mistakes. Who is going to sift through the tens of thousands of hours of footage of GOP leaders making wrong choices that harm our society?

Well there's another Republican mantra out the window - Accountability!

IF the GOP plan to cut Medicare then they should get hammer each time. Last year GOP let the Tea Party and angry rallies destroy democrats offices on President Obama Health Care Law. Many democrats resigned after fear of their safey and the safey of their families too. If I was President Obama I would put GOP freshmen letter into the shredder. And hammer Republicans over Medicare until get get the angry town hall meets and angry voters.

"we have the opportunity to wipe the state clean and fulfill the mandate set by the people to strengthen our country for future generations" What exactly does that mean? Get rid of the elderly and the disabled? Who wants to live in that kind of an America! These people are not only callous and wet behind the ears...they're downright nuts too! Who are these people the right says gave them a "mandate" to destroy our only safety nets? I know K0ch - who are the others? Like we don't know ;-)

Aww...poor little freshmen R's are finding that they aren't so special after all.

After spending all last summer waving signs calling President Obama a "socialist", wearing silly teabag hats, and screaming at Democrats about death panels & killing Grandma, they have the NERVE to demand an "end to playing politics"??

Now THEY want to END Medicare all together and we're supposed to just sit quietly and allow it???

Sorry freshmen...you asked for this battle and you better be prepared for the consequences.

Oh, and I wouldn't get too comfy in your new offices because you won't be staying long... Better enjoy YOUR tax payer provided health insurance while you can!!!

I'd like to think so but as its been proven time & again, never underestimate the ignorance of those that can be convinced to vote against their best interests...

The GOP is a true American Nightmare. Just imagine what would have happened to Medicare if the GOTP controlled both houses of Congress & the Presidency. Medicare would be dead and we would all be screwed. I'm in my 50's and I've been paying Social Security taxes since I was 18 and I'll be damned if all that money is going to be pissed away by giving it to the Oligarchy. What's happened to my country? What's happened to the notion of fairness? Why did Social Darwinism become the preferred MO of the GOTP? We can't let folks forget this mean-spirited debacle in 2012.

What?!? The ones playing games here is the republican's. They are the ones wanting to do away with medicare, planned parenthood, healthcare, and social security. Why don't they get out of MY uterus, get away from the social security and medicare, which I've been paying into for over 50 years.
Instead go after big oil and their outrageous profits (made by gouging us at the pumps), go after the big bank and wall street thieves, go after those politicians that are bought and paid for through the guise of PAC's.
In fact, why don't they clean their own house, get their side to learn how to compromise once in a while, and for the love of Pete, learn some sense of decorum. Between their 'family values' and their 'god and church' one would expect them to be above reproach on things like adultery, drug and alcohol abuse. Yet time after time, there they are on the front page, in the middle of yet another scandal.
Better yet, stop playing games with jr. bush and put him on trial where he and his cronies belong.
