My husband just finished the trilogy and couldn't put the books down. He found them completely riveting and couldn't wait to start the next one. Thank heaven for Kindle, as he could read into the wee hours without disturbing my sleep! I start reading them tonight!

Try Jo Nesbo, K.O. Dahl, Karin Fossum, Ake Edwardson, Hakan Nesser, Arnauldur Indridasson, Kjell Erickson, Sjowall and Wahloo, and, of course, Henning Mankell. And there are others! These Nordics are of the police procedural genre rather than thriller.
