Sarah Palin Twitter Meme Creates Her Place in Rap History

First Posted: 05/12/11 07:18 PM ET   Updated: 07/12/11 06:12 AM ET

You thought the Common Controversy was over -- but you were wrong. Sarah Palin, following the lead of The Daily Caller and Fox News, took issue with the White House inviting rapper and actor Common to a poetry event on Wednesday night.

In her explanation, she said, "I'm not anti-rap. In fact, like Bret Baier, I know the lyrics to 'Rapper's Delight,' too."

Quotes such as these are why Twitter exists. Predictably, a meme was born.

Here are some highlights from today's early tweets and the #PalinRapFacts hashtag. We'll keep adding more gems, so make your suggestions in the comments.
