Solar Impulse Makes First International Flight (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

AOL Travel News:

The Solar Impulse took its first international flight on Friday from Switzerland to Belgium, the Associated Press reports.

The flight is a first for the aircraft, which made its maiden voyage in 2009. The plane completed a non-stop 26-hour flight that proved that the plane can stay aloft at night.

One must ask if any Americans have been working toward this objective.  For most of our history we have been among the leaders in scientific and technological breakthrough yet today it seems that so many particulary on the right are follwers of the No We Can't rather than Yes We Can.
