A year ago, the media went bonkers over news that the venerable word game, seeking to spice things up for the youngsters, was permitting the use of proper nouns.

I accept the fact that I would never win the world wide spelling contest, however, I like words and try to expand my vocabulary and spell correctly. Any method that will encourage people to do the same is well worth it.
I may be a tad anal but one of the reasons that obscenities painted on walls irritates me is that they are usually not spelt correctly. Possibly I should add a comment with the correct spelling to this 'artwork'.
