Janice Dickinson Loses Two False Teeth, Searches For Them Like 'Lucille Ball On Crack'

Today's Style believe-it-or-not: Janice Dickinson ostensibly lost two false teeth at Sant Ambroeus restaurant in Southampton, Page Six reports.

The 56-year-old supermodel unfastened her falsies to enjoy her food, explaining to the gossip column, "I was so excited talking to [my friend] that I put my teeth in my napkin, and then I couldn't find them! Did they fall into the soup? These things are so expensive they could feed a small village."

A frantic Dickinson got down on all fours like "Lucille Ball on crack," and coerced the clientele into helping her locate the pearly whites, which, health inspectors-be-damned, were ultimately found.

Dickinson has been pretty open about her plastic surgery past, but no one has asked her about her dental records. However, if "America's Next Top Model" (which closely parallels the actual industry and upon which Janice was once a judge) has taught us anything, it's that the teeth make the woman. Remember when Tyra shaved a gap between a contestant's two front fangs? Okay, we didn't catch that entire episode, but we read all about it here.

Anyway, back to Janice. Check out the following clip from 2010 -- in it, she tells ABC News about all the work she's had done. She says, "I've done just as much as every model and actress out there, I'm just willing to talk about it."

She's one person who's not ashamed to be that downright down-to-earth and to even talk about her cosmetics surgeries done on her face. I don't actually don't see anything wrong with that, other than it's quite unbecoming for most women especially former model to be as unabashed and as unconventional as she is. When iterviewed, her kids had only good words for her as at their mom, so I guess she's done something positive in her life which is the most important thing, that of being a good mom.

To each her own.

I do not know this individual, but I don't see what's the big deal, other than the fact that it may not be the wisest policy to talk up plastic surgery and other cosmetic interventions she has had performed.

Is she some of terrible person, with this only being the tip fo the iceberg?

No, JD is simply aging, which makes insecure people very anxious. She was abused by her father when she was very young, and like many with similar histories had some troubles with drugs. She's a survivor, and a bit too trusting -- when surgeons say "Oh, I could do x for your face." she trusts them. She has spent her entire life with photographers, make-up people, dress designers telling her what to do. And she still needs a career.

Dickinson had been a 'fantasy girl': fantasy fans feel they can get control over their own fate if they reject the aging of their fantasy. They have to get rid of the flawed fantasy to find another perfect fantasy. It's superstitious behavior. But, of course, they will come up with all sorts of logic to say that their behavior is justified (as if bullying ever could be . . .??!!) instead of understanding that they are superstitious.

You see the same among rabid fans when a sports hero ages -- those are the fans who fall all over themselves booing their 'disgraced' former player. Really sad.

Those of us who play in the real world see aging and loss of sport ability as a natural course of life. We don't like it, but we don't have to reject people who age or lose a step on the field.

She has said that her father was a pedophile who sexually abused her and her younger sister. She also has said that her sister has been able to forgive their father and move on but she can't. That's likely the reason she acts the way she does today.
