At a floundering fifth place in the National League Central, the Chicago Cubs' season could use a little help. On Wednesday night, they got it -- in the form of a bare-naked man with some serious tan lines.
In the fifth inning, a streaker jumped down over the right-field wall and ran onto the field, NBC Chicago reports. He performed some cartwheels in the outfield, to the cheers and applause of the fans at Sun Life Stadium, where the Northsiders were visiting the Florida Marlins.
He nearly made it to the infield before being detained and hauled off by security (which you can watch below).
And the Cubs were all for it. "That was awesome," Cubs catcher Koyie Hill told the Chicago Sun-Times. "That guy gave a good effort."
It might have made the difference in the game. The possibly distracted Fish committed two errors and gave up two runs that inning, on the way to a 7-5 defeat at the hands of the middling Cubs.
