The Best Rapture News Tweets: May 21 On Twitter

The Huffington Post     First Posted: 05/21/11 02:16 AM ET   Updated: 07/20/11 06:12 AM ET

Is the media going overboard with May 21?

There are plenty of reasons to believe the rapture rumors are false, even though some legitimately believe in them (especially this guy). News outlets far and large have decided to report on both sides of the spectrum.

That said, there's a fine line between having fun with the possibility of this being the end and going over the top. Some of these media outlets may have been trying too hard. You be the judge...

I know it wasn't a tweet, but Skip Bayless' little aside on Friday's First Take was funny.

"I'm not entirely sure what sportswriters will do in the Hereafter."

I'm going to create man and woman with original sin. Then I'm going to impregnate a woman with myself as her child, so that I can be born. Once alive, I will ki|l myself as a sacrifice to myself. To save you from the sin I original condemned you to.

Ta-Daaaaaah!

Mark 13:26-27: "And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory. And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven."

No man knows the hour or day. Therefore no one can predict when. You have to accept in Christ as your savior. I am the light, the truth, the way. From reading many of these post, there are many potential lost souls. The choice is yours to believe or not.

"Truly, truly I say to you, he who hears My word, and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life." ( John 5:24)
"This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent." ( John 6:29)

"I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?" ( John 11:25-26)

Why is self-delusion ridiculed on a small scale and government endorsed when writ large?

Makes me wonder why people believe such nonsense because the Bible is supposed to make sure a claim. It took 1500 years and 40 men to write the Bible. Some of them could have been Tea Partiers or FAUX News commentators. The Bible is about as accurate as Huck Fin.
