'Midnight In Paris': Woody Allen Film Stars Michael Sheen, Rachel McAdams Talk Love, New Movie

Woody Allen's new film, "Midnight in Paris," seeks to understand romance vs. reality, pitting fleeting relationships in golden era dreams against the reluctantly accepted crush of convenience and safety in modern times.

Introduced to mismatched couples operating in different dimensions, the audience quickly sees that the antagonists, the harsh realists played by Michael Sheen and Rachel McAdams, are perfect for each other, if only not for ill-fitting entanglements.

Interesting, then, that Sheen and McAdams, in real life so different from their characters, are now dating; the pair recently admitted their relationship while debuting "Midnight in Paris" at Cannes Film Festival. Speaking to HitFix, they discussed their new film, its messages and characters, as well as working with its legendary director, Woody Allen.

Woody Allen's new film: a 2-hour boring manic rant by a megalomaniacal craddle-robbing adulterer, whose protagonist is somehow challenged by the vapid 1-dimensional liberal version of conservatives. That says a lot about Allen's own mind, that the best antagonist he could develop was a weak, group-think version of the right; the greedy businessman who is idiotic--and just doesn't appreciate the insanity of his cute loveable character who is so innocently roaming the streets of Paris, trying to find an innocent child to adopt, and then sleep with.

It's arrogant in its allusions, and assumptions. It isn't honest--by and large, it's a horrible story that does not respect the audience. Pure crap

I like this guy, almost every flick I see him in he usually is the best or one of them. What still floored me was seeing him in Underworld followed by one of his numerous portrayals as Tony Blair.

Rachel looks so much better as a brunette , with blonde hair she looks like one of many, of the vapid ones when so is so much of a better actress. Can`t wait to see it.
For all the movie lovers, I am watching "Visitor", 2008 film with Richard Jenkins, highly recommend..

Oh, i love Paris. Can't wait to go back. Also can't wait to watch this, Woody Allen just gets better, its fantastic.
