He has admitted to infidelities in his marriage as well. I'm taken abck by the coke issue but cheating on his wife comes as no surprise. He has had a reputation with the ladies since he was a young olympian. His handlers always covered for him. You pay people enough they'll do anything for you. Theres stories of him spending lots of money/time in Scores night club. He has fathered atleast 3 children out of wedlock yet tries to portray himself as a family man. He may be a champ in the ring but that is wear the class ends.

Oscar was cool, until he tried to give his two cents. Judging many fighters, promoters, etc while he was hiding his own imperfections. The biggest accusations of all was accusing Pacquiao of using steriods. Maybe this stint in rehab will make him realize that he was a good fighter but not a great promoter. He and Golden Boy Promotions should issue a formal apology for accusing people of taking steriods when he's the one that has a substance abuse problem. Maybe Pacquiao will drop his defamation suit and re-build the relationship w/ TOP Rank to produce good and entertaining fights.

ODLH was better at marketing than he was at managing a business. His Golden Boy Promotions is probably headed toward bankruptcy this year. How is he going to send out all of those child support checks?

What are you talking about? Golden boy has, Alvarez, Ortiz, and Khan, three massive cash cows. Golden Boy along with Top Rank dominate boxing. Please don't make stuff up.

Sorry, Ortiz, Alvarez, and Khan, are not yet cash cows. They depend on a 46 year old (hopkins) to be a main attraction...but it was a good fight this past weekend. Other than that, they really have no cash cows. Mosely and Marqez jumped ship... TOP RANK is the top promoter in boxing. It's true, Golden Boy is slowing losing $$...they may not last long.

a former American professional boxer of Mexican descent and the first boxer who could win in six different weight classes, a world champion, suffers in his own words in a drug and alcohol addiction. In a public statement he announced that he has gone to fight addiction in a rehabilitation center for drugs and alcohol in California.

Lucky man. I have used pain killers three years after a botched surgery. I am trying to taper off and stop on my own. He is lucky he can afford help.

You know I love boxing, used to actually fight myself. Big ODLH fan! Even his promotions. Painkillers, narcotics are used like tic tacs, in EVERY sport. It is kind of depressing to know the way the media treat us when it comes to this, and yet make it impossible for some of us to obtain them cause the FDA pressures docs into thinking everyone that ask for a narcotic are addicts., but if you have money and power, you can get whatever you want. My point is, it is a huge huge problem is the rich community, and the people in the media that give you that righteous high and mighty speech on how horrible a person is doing drugs are most likely doing some themselves, most people do something to pep them up, I prefer a natural plant I wont name. It's all just about money no one really cares if someone gets help in the end.

My prayers are with Mr. De La Hoya.
I've enjoyed watching him box since his Olympic gold medal match right after his mother passed.
To address any problem, first you have to recognize it. I have confidence that he will come out a better and stronger person by dealing with his so called flaw.
