'Bob's Burgers' Cast Dishes On Their Characters, Season 2 & Just How Hungry They Are (VIDEO

Bobs Burgers

It's hard to be an animated show on Fox. Their Sunday night lineup of cartoon titans like "The Simpsons," "Family Guy" and whatever else Seth MacFarlane is doing these days are tough competition, even for shows full of funny and recognizable voices (how long did it take for "Sit Down, Shut Up" to go off the air?").

Luckily, "Bob's Burgers" is making the cut, having just been renewed for second season after a hilarious first one. Featuring such comedic all-stars as Kristen Schaal, Eugene Mirman, H. Jon Benjamin and John Roberts, "Burgers" is your classic off-beat family cartoon made better with with its eccentric cast and understated humor.

We recently sat down with the cast (minus the fifth Belcher family member Tina, voiced by Dan Mintz) at the MLB Fan Cave in New York City to get some insight on the upcoming second season, how they identify with their characters and whether or not they've had any interesting burgers lately. As you'll see in the video below, the cast is just as silly in person as they are behind the animation (and just as hungry, we imagine).

Watch the exclusive interview below and below that, watch a clip from the season finale airing this Sunday May 22 at 8:30 p.m. on Fox.

This one of the few times you meet voice actors who sound almost exactly like their character, along with Seth MacFarlene, as opposed to The Simpsons voice actors, like Hank Azaria and Dan C.

H. Jon is great in everything he does...something about his voice is just innately funny.

I love this show, it has great heart. Archer is the other great animated show on television, but I can't watch that one with my son, it's way too perverse.

Great, great show, boat loads of talent all around but I don't know how they'll ever top the mortuary episode.

I love Bob's Burgers!! Louise is one of the best characters on all of TV, she's hilarious! I was hooked from the 1st episode, so glad it was renewed.

Love this show. It has that rawness that Simpsons had back in the Tracey Ulman days. The kids carry the show, especially Louise, who is a perfect foil for her dimwitted and awkward siblings. Simpsons jumped the shark about 10 years ago, and Family Guy is played. I still like The Cleveland Show, but I can only take so much Seth McFarlane. This show is it for me on Sunday nights.

These days 'The Simpsons' is pretty much a 'dead man walking' and 'Family Guy' seems to be at it's apex and soon decline. So I was very happy to become a fan of Bob's Burgers and very much look forward to it's second season! I haven't bought an animated series DVD since Cowboy Bebop but might actually buy the 1st season of Bob's Burgers, this is the kind of show I'd want to show future kids someday :)

I am SO glad this show got renewed. I haven't laughed so hard at a cartoon in a long time. The kids are just so messed up, it's a riot.
