Marmite Banned in Denmark: Lovers And Haters Share Their Thoughts On Twitter

With news that Denmark has banned the sale of Marmite, the polarizing yeast extract popular on toast, legions of Marmite lovers and haters have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts.

From CNN:

Sales of Marmite, a dark and sticky substance usually eaten on toast, were halted by the Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries because it violated regulations over vitamin-fortified produce.

Naturally, the social networks are going wild. The International Marmite Liberation Army (IMLA) has sprung up on Facebook. And Twibbon, a service that allows devotees of a cause to wrap their Twitter and Facebook pictures with supportive icons, features a Twibbon called "Marmite for everyone" that is currently the site's most popular icon.
