Sales of Marmite, a dark and sticky substance usually eaten on toast, were halted by the Danish Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Fisheries because it violated regulations over vitamin-fortified produce.
Naturally, the social networks are going wild. The International Marmite Liberation Army (IMLA) has sprung up on Facebook. And Twibbon, a service that allows devotees of a cause to wrap their Twitter and Facebook pictures with supportive icons, features a Twibbon called "Marmite for everyone" that is currently the site's most popular icon.
