When Oprah wasn't talking about herself during her final show on Wednesday, she was talking about her audience; what they had meant to her, and, more importantly, what she had meant to them.
Over the past 25 years, Oprah's audience became a character in and of itself, and its regular other-worldly freak-outs were a reason to tune in everyday (or at least for the "Favorite Things" episodes). So it's no surprise that many television viewers will miss that audience every bit as much as they will miss the woman herself.
