Last night, 16-year-old Chattanooga, Tenn. native Lauren Alaina became the 'American Idol' runner-up to winner Scott McCreery. The 10th season finale of the Fox juggernaut wasn't short on emotions with Alaina's final performance, a duet with her 'Idol' idol Carrie Underwood. The pair sang the country vixen's 'Before He Cheats,' showing that Alaina can hold her own with the biggest of stars.

Uh how did she get a record contract so fast? And how does she get to record this song? She didn't win. So when did the actual competition really end.......before the final two were "chosen"? I thought the winner "wins a recording contract and their original AI song. SO what did Scotty really "win"?
