Lady Gaga Ziplines Into 'Good Morning America' Central Park Concert (VIDEO)

Always has to make an entrance, that Lady Gaga.

With fans camping out up to three days ahead of her "Good Morning America" Summer Concert Series performance in New York's Central Park, the Mother Monster was under pressure to put on a real memorable show. She delivered before she even sang a note, rushing into a smoke filled stage via a zipline above the crowd.

For a performer whose concerts are often as colorful and bizarre as a circus, this took it to another level.

Perhaps flying about their heads was perfect symbolism, though; a deal for her new record, "Born This Way," crashed Amazon when it was released Tuesday, and it's estimated to sell about 950,000 copies in its first week.

Gaga may be talented and I have a lot of friends that like her. But to me Gaga is too exhausting. All the stunts, costumes and gimmicks just seem to take away from her musical talents (if she has any). I prefer artists that let their music speak for their talents. Sorry, don't mean to hate. But Gaga comes across more of a circus freak than a serious artist. Maybe one day I will appreciate her music. But I think I will stick to other music.

If she had even a tiny bit of actual musical talent, all the stunts would be fine. In her case, the zaniness is used as a mask. Just because she apes Madonna with apparent consent doesn't mean anything either. Madonna is getting lots of free publicity by treating Gaga as a protege.
Even in concert she uses a whole lot of overdubbing.

Such hate for Gaga. The most ludicrous of course is she "has no talent" is just a "rehash of Madonna". Please, people like Brian May would not collaborate enthusiastically with her if she had "no talent", nor would her acoustic performances be very good if she couldn't sing.

That article was preposterous. Sure, the promotion is going to boost the number of records sold, but these "up and coming" singers are just trying to ride on Lady Gaga's coattails.

You can say many things about Gaga but the woman can put on a show! I watched her speical on HBO and I had a new respect for her plus through the costumes,dancing, and crazy hair she sang live. loves her
