Tis the season for grilling -- and eating burgers you don't have to grill yourself. The fat sandwich -- meat, bun, extras up to you -- is the formidable favorite of Los Angeles foodies, especially the bloggers who cover our expansive food universe. We asked LA's top food bloggers -- built with an insatiable appetite for burgers -- to reveal their favorite burger in Los Angeles.

Rustic Canyon's Breakfast Burger

Damon Gambuto, A Hamburger Today: "Much like its creator, chef Evan Funke, it's a burger that expresses a restless creativity while still hewing to classical construction. The eight ounces of 80/20 Niman Ranch beef, thick-cut bacon confit (cooked and preserved in duck fat), Tillamook sharp cheddar, a fried egg, and arugula sitting between a Röckenwagner bun would be enough to make this a wondrous burger, but there's more: Funke adds a round of perfectly-cooked hash browns that stamps this burger's ticket to the hall of fame. My first bite was the kind of eye-rolling delight that makes the noise just fall away."
