When LeBron gets hot, he's impossible to stop. In Game 1 of the NBA Finals, the two-time MVP turned it on in the second half with some long-range jumpers and ferocious dunks.

James nailed three 3-pointers in the third quarter, including a wild buzzer-beater with Dallas' Shawn Marion defending him. With time running out, James dribbled to his right and swished a running fadeaway over the Mavericks forward. The shot gave the Heat a four-point lead heading into the fourth quarter.

LeBron finished with 24 points and nine rebounds, leading the Heat to a 92-84 win over the Mavericks. Scroll down to watch the highlight.

Lebron James from start and hopefully to the finish he will continue to impress. He is indeed one of the best talents to ever set foot on a basketball court. He has live up to the hype from High School to the pros. I just hope that he never loses the love for the game. If he does this he will surpass some of the all time greats.

No he is not. Where do you people learn basketball 101 from? Have you hear of Jerry West(he's NBA emblem), Kareem, Wilt, Gervin, Magic, Bird, Jordan, Bryant, Shaq, Mourning, Russell, Laimbeer, Rodman, Pippen, Thomas, Kerr, Stockton, Malone, Harper, Duncan, Robinson, Norwitzki, Nash, Fisher, Rose, Garnett, Pierce, Allen, Rondo, and he'll never surpass a great. He can join them but he can never surpass. I know people that consider West better than Jordan, Wilt better than Jordan, etc.

I began watching basketball in the 60's and I can tell you Lebron would embarrass Jerry West. It's an entirely different game today. Very few players from that era could give the stars of today trouble. For Pete's sake, Dave Cowens played center at 6-9. If you look at footage from the 60's, most of the guards only dribbled with their right hands and very rarely could move aggressively to their left. Do you think Gervin could have guarded Dwayne Wade? Hell no. George was a scorer only.
Players from those days who could compete today are few and far between. Russell, Chamberlain, Robertson are among the very few. Basketball isn't like baseball, where Mickey Mantle would be great even in today's era. The game has evolved and so have the players.

Lebron James is on steroids and the Miami Heat looks pathetic. They had to cheat to get a NBA championship that no one cares about. I was a huge D. Wade fan but now I'm not. I'm a huge Kobe fan but if Kobe would've did the taking my talents to South Beach deal then I would hate him too.

Cheat? Please tell me how they cheated? Pathetic. You probably deny the fact that Shaq was one of the main reason Kobe even got his first 3 rings. Get real.

No, Taj, Kobe and Shaq was formed from the great General Manager Jerry West. Kobe and Shaq never were free agents who demanded to play together in order to win a NBA championship. What are you talking about? If Kobe would've never won anything and said I'm going to this team to win then I would boo him too. If Lebron would have went to the Knicks(a team that had no one before the Amare and Carmelo) then I would be his #1 fan. Lebron is a joke to the NBA. That's why he gets no love from the NBA legends.

I love that he had such a great game last night. I live in Indiana, but I could hear the groans and the boos all the way from Cleveland. That win was for all of the people who have wished him ill since his so-called "defection".

Sorry to tell you this but no one cares about this season's NBA Finals. It'll be the lowest ranked one ever. I live in LA and no one cared to watch. It's boring. No fouls, no nothing. I think both teams combined only scored 25 points in the 1st quarter. Wzup with that? And Cleveland has the 1st, 2nd and 4th pick in the NBA draft plus a lot of salary cap money since the Chosen 1(by who?) left-trust me they ain't stressing over Lebron anymore.

Actually, T.V. ratings are out there, and reports don't support your opinion. In fact, last night's game drew more T.V. audience than last year's game 1 between Lakers and Celtics. Care to read actual, factual information?

When he's hitting stuff like that there is no chance for the Mavs.

Stern has mad money invested in Lebron. They got to give him a ring in order to sell his merchandise. After all, Lebron Nike shoes are always 50% off. Nobody in China, Turkey, Egypt knows what a Lebron Miami Heat jersey is but they most definitely know what a Kobe Bryant jersey is. This is the worst NBA Finals ever

Wrong last years Finals was absolutely awful. Guys crying for calls is all I remember. Game one was really calculated and sloppy in the 1st half but it was great in the 2nd half. I guess America would prefer to see the shooting fest that is normal West ball but sorry Defense win games and we saw great D from both teams. If the Finals aren't satisfying enough in reality the go play it in 2K. Us Miami fans will be watching in amazement.

In the beginning of the season he never hit those 3 pointers, if he continues to, nobody and I mean nobody will stop him.

Lebron is a steroid freak that can easily be stopped. He's nothing special. His dunks are so ugly, no finesse. He's a 7ft point guard. Derrick Rose is 20 times more exciting to watch than Lebron and Derrick Rose is unstoppable.
06:32 PM on 06/01/2011
Unstoppable? What about the four games he lost to the Heat?
