'Bad Teacher': Cameron Diaz, Justin Timberlake Get Awkward In New Clips (VIDEO)

Cameron Diaz Goes Bad, Gets Awkward With Justin Timberlake

There's very little chance that this is how their actual courtship went down, but the romantic history between Cameron Diaz and Justin Timberlake add a little something extra to this "Bad Teacher" clip.

The former couple co-star, along with Jason Segel, in the raunchy R-rated comedy about a slacker teacher (Diaz) who sets her sights on the new, geeky teacher (Timberlake). Their chemistry is uncomfortable in this new clip -- which is entirely the point.

The two are still friends -- and only friends -- which they've consistently pointed out while promoting the film.

"We wanted the best person for the job, and Justin was that person," Diaz recently told the Associated Press. "He's such a great comedian. He's proven himself over and over again... The only thing that I think we were concerned with was what people would make up. The stories that people would make up about us. We were hoping that wouldn't happen, because we're there to work, and we didn't want to have to be distracted by any of those things. And fortunately, for the most part, the media behaved themselves."

Unlike the media, Diaz's character in the film doesn't do much of that behaving. But as much as she's a crude, rude educator in name only looking to marry a rich man, she does have a bit of a heartbreaking backstory, which is explored in the second clip.
